Welcome to the Phatcat Racing website, which is a combination of our racing and media services.
Firstly a bit about Phatcat Racing. This is a motocross (dirt bike racing) race team set up by Jeff and Nicki in Perth, Western Australia for motocross racing.
Meet the Team: Where did the name come from? Fatcat was a nicknamed Jeff obtained many years ago, so to avoid copyright connections with another famous fatcat, we came up with our Phatcat!
#989 is
Jeff "Phatcat"' Howell who has over 38 years within the motor vehicle
and motor cycle industry with lengthy experience in spare parts and accessories. Jeff's sound industry and business knowledge experience started in the early 1970's with Holden, to diverse roles
such as spare parts manager with Nissan to sales within spare parts at
Toyota. Jeff had his first
dirt bike at age 10 and has had a variety of dirt bikes
over the years. He first raced at Noble Falls in the early 1970's,
beating a young Jeff Leisk in a race (Leisky's bike had broken down at the time!)and has been back racing since season 2005. He has rebuilt and
restored every thing from a TS 250 Suzuki, KX250 to a Elisinore 250 and
Yamaha TT500 and everything in between since 1970!
A fanatical Holden fan, his passion is the HK Monaro, in fact pretty much all Holdens!

#990 is Jeff''s
wife Nicki Shea-Howell (Mrs Phatcat) who has learnt her skills and
experience through various life skills and of course from Jeff! Nicki's
first race was in season 2008 and she has made a full assault in 2009.
Motocross has involved Nicki on television and radio as the motocross presenter
for Riding WA/ On Two Wheels, on Aurora Channel Foxtel and Perth's Access
31, as well as various other media experiences and business
opportunities. Keep an eye out Perth for WTV channel 44 in 2010,
Riding WA with a new name On Two Wheels with Nicki onboard is back! Nicki is also on 91.3SportFM with her own show MX WEEKLY, on you guessed it - motocross!
Like her husband, Nicki
is another Holden nut, but is slightly more passionate about her beloved
Collingwood, don't hold that against her - as much to her annoyance -
she was born in Carlton!
